Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire

Copies of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are apparently “refusing to load,” according to users over on ResetEra.

As with any community-driven test, fans from across the world took some time to pop their own ORAS copy into their 3DS. What was found was that it was only linked to PAL copies.

This isn’t a new thing, apparently, as turns out, it’s been going on under everyone’s noses this whole time. Some report their copy hasn’t worked since mid-2020 while another user from Italy blows them out of the water as their copy hasn’t been functional since 2019.

Meanwhile, some – even Europeans – found their copies to work just fine.

This glitch here is kind of akin to the original GBA versions’ berry glitch. This glitch was particularly bad as it caused berries, a function added in that game, to stop growing after a year of it initially being played.

Hopefully this is rectified or at the very least an anomaly.

What do you think? Is your copy of Pokémon Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire still functional? Tell us below!
