Nintendo Switch Online

Four SNES games and one NES game will drop on the Nintendo Switch Online service later this month.

The five games are Caveman Ninja, also known to others as Joe & Mac, will join Spanky’s Quest, Super Baseball Simulator 1.000, and Magical Drop II repping the SNES era while Ninja JaJaMaru-kun will be repping the NES age.

In Japan, though, they’re replacing Spanky’s Quest and Super Baseball Simulator 1.000 with Doomsday Warrior and Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War for those Nintendo Switch Online users.

As expected, a decent portion of fans didn’t take too kindly to these additions, particularly those waiting in bated breath for the return of the Mother (also known as EarthBound in the west) franchise getting its time to shine.

Nintendo’s been very dismissive of the niche, yet large, fanbase wanting to see the return of the RPG. It’s hard to tell if we’ll ever get the franchise, but
