Diamond and Pearl sound library

Not even a full year’s gone by since the Pokémon Company launched the Diamond and Pearl sound library before the company’s revealed its intentions to shutter it in a matter of days.

Around February, Nintendo launched the service where fans could listen and download sound effects and tracks from the original 2006 release and explore the sounds of the remaster, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

If you’ve already downloaded any tracks, you’ll still have access to them. It’s hard to say why they decided to shutter the Diamond and Pearl sound library after making an effort to pull uploads of the old 2006 tracks on YouTube. But, if there’s any tracks you want, you’ll want to get them downloaded by May 31.

You can read the full closing announcement.

“Thank you for visiting the Pokémon DP Sound Library.

We will be shutting down the service on May 31, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. UTC. You will not be able to stream or download the sound data after this date.

As for the sound data downloaded already, you will be able to continue using it within the scope of the Terms of Use and Guidelines. You can access this website to view the Terms of Use and Guidelines after the closure of Pokémon DP Sound Library. Please make sure to follow the latest Terms of Use and Guidelines when using the sound data.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you to everyone who has supported us since service launch.”
