Toys For Bob

Ever since Toys For Bob took the reigns of Crash Bandicoot’s future, there’s always been one question that lingers in peoples’ minds, especially as the latest ventures have ports to the Switch. Will we see Crash in Smash Bros.?

As it turns out, creative producer, Lou Studdert, would love to see it. In an interview with Nintendo Life, he said he would love to see it, but it’s entirely out of his hands.

“We all dream of that day, don’t we?! If I had any influence, I sure would love to see that as well but it’s something out of my hands entirely!”

It isn’t impossible as Nintendo has been more than willing to give spotlight to characters out of their first-party endeavors. Sonic comes to mind as well as a slew of Minecraft mobs and its default skins.

That said, as Studdert said, “we all of that day.” Though, with the increased output of Crash games, like Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time (which PSX Extreme’s Lorenzo Lombardi called it a “testament to old-school gaming and modern sensibilities”), it isn’t out of the realm of possibility that everyone’s favorite bandicoot could drop as a DLC character.
