Despite its fumble, the Wii U saw a great deal of expansion that, yes, the Switch learned from. Unfortunately, third-party devs who took advantage of the console’s online service features are now pulling out. Such is the case for Ubisoft, who have revealed their plans to shutter multiple of its older games to focus on fresher meat.

Older games in the Cali-based developer’s library are getting the axe with ZombiU, Assassin’s Creed III, and Rayman Legends all in the list of games getting decommissioned.

This is hardly new news as Ubi is pulling the online plug for many of its older games. Back in April, multiple games on the Wii and Wii U were previously on the chopping block like Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Rabbids Land, and a bunch of Just Dance entries.

The final day of online play is on September 1.
