Expansion of Monolith Soft‘s Xenoblade Chronicles universe has been rumored and expected for quite a while, but now, with new weight to the theory, it sounds like Xenoblade Chronicles 3 could be in-bound.
During an interview with small-time YouTuber, Din’s Meteorite, actress Jenna Coleman slipped up. The actress, while known for her work on Doctor Who and Emmerdale, also takes on the role of Melia hailing from the very first Xenoblade Chronicles title.
The interview was a ways away, having only picked up steam as fans realized his piece held a golden nugget that gives fans hope for the third major installment.
“God, when was the first game? Ten years ago? It was a long time ago, I did it pre-Doctor Who days and when they did they second one , they asked me to come back. And I think they’re going to do another. Common knowledge? Don’t know. Yeah, I think they’re going to do another. Not sure if I’m allowed to say that.”
As expected, it’s caused quite an uproar on the internet about the upcoming game and its stage in development. According to FanByte, their sources claim Xenoblade Chronicles 3 to be in the final stages of development.
